The Habit of Digital Marketing

In digital marketing, it’s all about strategy. It is true that you must try the techniques, platforms, software and decide which you feel most comfortable working and with which you get the best results; However, everything should be part of a series of strategies designed in advance.

In previous posts we talked about the possibility of making money online with Affiliate Marketing, now, we will continue giving you some recommendations that you can take into account as part of your overall strategy. To sell with affiliate marketing without losing focus, you need to be clear about your roadmap

As I mentioned before, we already explored what Affiliate Marketing is, now let’s talk about SEO positioning on Page. It is all the resources that can be optimized within your own page to position it, so that before google, comply with a series of parameters that allow you to be in a good place within the search engine. Some of the most important to take into account are:

  • Load speed.
  • Web architecture.
  • Internal bonding.

All this depends only on you, and is not built in a day, requires a constant work, requires habits of enriching your page.

How can you make this a habit?

You must define a schedule of work practically immovable so that you not only work on your page when you have the time, desire or when you have something to say, but you have to do it periodically, after a while, you will not have to force you to do it, because it will have become a habit.

Simply start by making yourself the purpose of sitting at the computer for a limited time without distractions let’s say an hour a day to work on your page. Some habits have the power to initiate a chain reaction, changing other habits as they are established.
Celebrate your little advances. Small triumphs are just what they seem and are part of the process in which basic habits create generalized changes.

The best way to pull traffic is to include those words or variations of the keyword in the same way that people type in the search engine when making your query.

Based on this, if you look closely, you will realize that what is really rewarding Google is to give an adequate response to the search that their users.
The practical way to get this is by inserting in your articles those words that users use to search Google.

Remember, the cave is constancy, the habit of making it happen.

Buying Power Domains for Affiliate Marketing

In the last post, I talked about some of the benefits of domain investing from the perspective of flipping domains, without actually developing a website on them.

In this post, we’ll look at another strategy you can use to invest in domains: affiliate marketing.

How It Works

expiredThe basics are pretty simple, but the details are where it gets tricky, so stay with me for a minute.

Basically, every domain can either be a new domain (never was used for a website before) or an expired/expiring domain (was previously used as a website).

For the domain flipping strategy, you’re focusing your efforts primarily on domains that have never been used before, and are looking at the name of the domain itself.

For this strategy, however, you can look to expired and expiring domains available at auctions. Every website has some level of power associated with it. If you learn to read and understand the key metrics behind that, using tools like Moz or Majestic, you can find expired domains that were once powerful websites.

If you buy these domains, you can put up a new website on them, promoting an affiliate product. These sites will rank more easily in the search engines, meaning you’ll get organic traffic to them, and then when a visitor clicks your link and buys a product, you earn a commission!

This is a great technique to use if you’re looking to build a portfolio of recurring revenue streams, rather than make a one time profit. While it can take longer to recoup your investment this way, it also means that you’ll be able to develop significant income over time, via a passive income channel!

What To Do

Actually implementing this process is where it gets tricky. In order to be successful, you’re going to first need to learn the basics of affiliate marketing, and how to make money promoting other people’s products online.

I personally recommend this affiliate training from Affiliate 101, which will get you through the basics of everything you need to know. Visit the site to learn more.

Then, you’re going to need to learn more about domain authority and trust flow. There are two clear leaders in this space, Moz and Majestic. See this Majestic tutorial to learn more about their metrics, and watch the video below for an introduction to Moz domain and page authority metrics.

Then, all you have to do is start browsing domain auction websites, like godaddy and namecheap, looking for domains that meet your criteria!

This really is a great way to build a revenue stream that pays monthly profits, and can be a fun alternative to simply buying and flipping domain names!

Domain Investing while Working from Home

One of the reasons domain investing is such a great business to be in is the extreme flexibility it provides.

Benefits of Domain Investing

benefitsWhen you work completely online, you’re able to design your schedule as you want to. While you obviously still need to put in the hours to get the job done and grow your business, those hours can be spent in the comfort of your living room or from a beach in Thailand…or anywhere else you choose for that matter.

That means you don’t ever have to feel tied down to a “typical” 9 to 5 schedule and office cubicle, and can work when you want, where you want, and, as you build your business, how much you want.

The other huge benefit to domain investing is that the return of capital is absolutely amazing. Like an options trader, who invests a small amount in order to have a probability of earning a large return, but keeps a “war-chest” available to reinvest in case his trade doesn’t work out, domain investing is a numbers, and probability game.

You’ll find that you can purchase most domains for under $50 and will be able to sell many of them for 10-30 times your investment. But, if you just invest in a handful, you might lose your money. For example, let’s say you (conservatively) make a 10x return on domains you sell, but its a zero sum game so some domains never sell and you lose your entire investment.

If you have a 60% success rate, if you invest in 100 domains at $10 apiece, that’s $1,000 in capital. Sell 60 of them for $100, and you’ve made $6,000, but you don’t sell 40% and lose all of that money, so your total return is $6,000 on a $1,000 investment! That’s pretty incredible!

But, if you only bought 5 domains, the odds might not play out in your favor, and its possible you would lose money on every domain you purchased, get discouraged and not proceed to get through those early barriers and start earning money.

Finding a Good Work From Home Job

Domain investing requires patience and a fair amount of capital as a buffer to reinvest in the early days, which means that it isn’t going to be right for everyone.

If you want to work from home but don’t have the capital or web-savvy to start investing in domains, there are plenty of other options out there for you, ranging from freelancing to affiliate marketing, to surveys and telemarketing.

Domains as an Investment Vehicle

domain investingOne of the best online investments you can make is to buy and resell domains.

There are several different ways you can make money using this technique.

The first is to buy domains that have intrinsic value with the name of the domain. Examples of this are domains that use commonly searched phrases, something known as an EMD, or exact match domain. These domains are powerful because it is easy for someone with knowledge of SEO to rank a website for these domains. This allows for the development of a number of niche industries using a variety of EMD keywords.

The second way to make money by investing in domains is to purchase domains that were previously established as websites. These domains can have a number of different metrics associated with them. The most valuable are those of authority and trust, measured by tools such as those provided by Basically, the idea is to purchase domains that used to be viable websites and already have some authority associated with them. That will make it easier to rank those domains for keyword terms related to their industry, thus adding value to them.

The investment opportunities exist because the overwhelming majority of website owners are unaware of the inherent value within a domain, and think only of a website’s value. When a website is left to expire, for whatever reason, including the failure of a business, rebranding to a different website, or any number of other potential reasons, the domain is often left to expire, maintaining some of the original value it once had.

This allows you to purchase the domain at a low cost, and resell it to a sophisticated buyer for a profit.
